The story

Gongju was the capital of the ancient Baekje kingdom; Jemincheon is the stream that runs through its old town. Young returnees turned emptying houses into a “village hotel” — a village desk in one alley, guest rooms in another, breakfast laid out in the house where you sleep. Stay a night, walk to the fortress at dusk, and you’ll have Korea’s history quarter almost to yourself.
