Open since 1937, below the fortress hill. The traditional market days fall on dates ending in 1 and 6 — the 1st, 6th, 11th and so on — and that is when the outer stalls fill up.
08:00–19:00, though each shop has its own days off. On Friday and Saturday evenings through October 17, 2026, the Bammasil night market runs 17:00–22:00 with food stalls.
